BC Fed OHS Fall Training Reminder 2020

Now is a great time to consider your occupational health and safety training needs. The BCFED Health & Safety Centre has resumed public in-person classroom training and our fall course schedule has been updated with a priority on essential skills to deal with COVID-19. As a result of risk assessments done for in-class activities, we have taken extensive safety measures to protect our participants and staff: ·Reduced the maximum size of each public course ·Restructured group learning activities to allow physical distancing ·Eliminated the need for the use of shared class materials ·Introduced

The Underground Circus Open for Training

Open for Training All Summer Long! Drop in schedules at the Underground Circus are Monday to Friday, morning session 10:30 - 13:30 and evening session 18:30 - 21:30. Other times are available for rent upon request. Stunt Women's Track Day July 30th, 2020

Message from Zandara Kennedy I'm hosting an open track day for women at Mission Raceway on July 30th. This is gonna be a super fun time for drivers of all levels - we will have a cone area for basic exercises and the drift section will be open for those who want to have a bit more fun. Bring any car you want, as long as it's road legal or prepped for the track. Come and practice your skills, connect with other stunt women, and of course eat tacos! Announcement from UBCP/ACTRA The Premier of the Province of British Columbia has just officially announced that B.C has now moved to Phase 3 of re-opening. As such, the Province welcomes all production activity to restart or begin and all motion picture activity is encouraged across B.C. The B.C. Motion Picture Industry COVID-19 Best Practices Coalition (the Coalition) has developed guidelines that have been reviewed by the Province and WorkSafe BC. UBCP/ACTRA COVID-19 Update

From UBCP/ACTRA Update on Supports for Members Amid COVID-19 Pandemic The Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) has been extended by an additional 8 weeks, and we want to thank the hundreds of UBCP/ACTRA Members that took the time to complete the ACTRA National petition that called on the Federal Government to make this change.
